Inspirational Tables/Tafels

Today we’ve visited one of Windhoek’s new and upcoming Foodie Markets with great surprise. Tucked away in the back corner of the Old Power Station we were pleasantly surprised by the result. A very creative and thought-through type of Market Concept with a very cosy layout. They are selling everything from relishes, artisanal cheeses, flowers, books, smalls and obviously food. The range of styles is far and wide from Thai cuisine, mini Pizzas, proper smoked BBQ to our personal favourite Indian Cuisine. After tasting Sabhia’s Indian Beef Curry (last corner stall at the Market) I could guarantee everyone would be hooked. With delicious Naan Bread and some very creative Samoosas, I must admit. Some new arrivals include Namib Smoked Meat House who definitely got their smoking and Braai methods to the point. Absolutely delicious! Another cool product available there is fresh Buffalo Mozzarella, which is a very rare commodity here in Namibia. And don’t get me started on the wide array of chutneys, pesto’s and relishes. A new company we came across is Sizzles who make the most delicious pestos and chilli relish. Hence we are lovers of hot sauces we just had to mention them inside this blog.

Not to forget, the Market has some live music playing in the background inside the food court. Not too loud like most event’s, just right! The complete ambience there is laid back and very inviting. Also, some well-known company’s there like Camelthorn Brewery, Biltong Bites and Food Lovers Market.

Sensational George was live today at Inspiration Tables Market. Fantastic Musician.

The Market is open to the public every Saturday from 08h00 till 14h00, the entrance fee is N$20,00 only. Well worth it and we can’t wait to go again next Saturday. This Market is truly something special. Please note that this Market is Covid-19 inspected and is held under strict Corona measures, so face Mask’s are compulsory for the time being.
